I have always regarded myself as sufficiently ambitious to excel as an entrepreneur when given the right opportunity. After completing my studies in accounting, I have instead of looking for a professional job like my classmates rather opted to search for the opportunity to establish my own business.
In pursuing my dream I have surprisingly been presented with numerous opportunities, but the one thing that I have failed to take into account was how difficult it would be to raise corporate finance.
I have literally been send from pillar to post but no financial institution was prepared to fund any of my ventures. I was then advised to approach millionaires as some of them are apparently very generous in giving money away. People like Andrew Paul, Joe Jamail, Russell Brunson, Eli Broad, David & Heather Stevens, Bill Gates, Christopher Hohn, Mikhail Prokhorov, Clive Cowdery, Alisher Usmanov, Peter Cruddas, Patrick Soon-Shiong, John Crean, Ken Nickerson, John Paul DeJoria, Charles Chrystle, Peter Hargreaves, Randy Pond, Randal Kirk, and hundreds more were mentioned.
I have written more than 500 letters to these successful individuals and have not even received one response, which led me to the conclusion that philanthropy is indeed nothing more than a myth.
It was then proposed that I should contact international venture capital companies, and yet I received exactly the same response on the myriad of proposals I have submitted.
One of my friends who at the time worked at HSBC in London then suggested I should become a member of Summit Network Group as they are an international corporate network organization that supports and develop business ventures. With his official invitation I have in a desperate bid decided to apply for membership.
I was accepted as a member and I have immediately applied for funding for my property development project in South Africa. Within 3 days of submitting my funding application I was informed that Patin International [a Summit Network Group funder member] is prepared to fund my project.
During the due diligence process conducted by Callister International on behalf of Summit Network Group, I have met with a Mr. Fourie who is one of their consultants. While working together I have often discussed my intense desire to develop business ventures as appose to be stuck in one business or industry for the rest of my life.
The next thing I know Mr. Fourie proposed to me that when I have completed my property development project he will be prepared to pay the $250 000 for a Summit Network Group franchise if I will be prepared to run the franchise as an equal partner.
I have anxiously completed my small property development and became his partner in the Summit Network Group – Germany franchise in May 2008. During the first 18 months he was not only my silent partner in the business but also my business mentor. I have learnt more from his practical corporate experience as a professional business consultant than I could have learnt from any tertiary institution.
Today, after only 3 years I have not only become a millionaire myself but achieved my dream of becoming a “serial” entrepreneur as the sole owner of the SNG – Germany franchise, after buying Mr. Fourie’s 50% stake in August 2011.
During September 2011, I have been thinking that it will only be appropriate for me to share my unusual success story with the rest of Summit Network Group’s members all over the world.
To my utmost amazement I have within 48 hours of disseminating my story received 11 similar responses from fellow members having the same remarkable experience with the mysterious Mr. Fourie. It is absolutely unbelievable to think this man was prepared to risk his capital and professional time to develop 11 future entrepreneurs.
The most shocking revelation actually came later when I have been told that Mr. Fourie does not actually exist in real life, but he is none other than the well known philanthropist Mr. Mark Paulsmeier who is sometimes working as a business consultant at Callister International under the professional alias of Mr. Fourie with the exclusive purpose of searching for deserving candidates who he can take under his wing to develop as the next generation of entrepreneurs - without them knowing who he really is.
Needless to say, Mr. Mark Paulsmeier also appears to be the President of the philanthropic organization Global Association of Billionaires and Millionaires. This thoroughly explains to me the tremendous influence he has with international business leaders, which I have sometimes found difficult to comprehend especially when I have been presented with complex problems when facilitating project funding for a member of my franchise. A problem has always been quickly resolved when he calls someone somewhere in the world to take care of the problem or situation at hand. He is just an amazing man.
With this posting I would then like to thank you Mr. Paulsmeier for the trust you have placed in me by investing substantial capital and your valuable time in my professional development, and in my appreciation I pledge to reciprocate in affording other entrepreneurs with likewise opportunities.
Again, thank you very much Mr. Paulsmeier for being My Secret Millionaire [I believe I can speak on behalf of James Galloway, Ian Reed, Lori Brown, Tim Daily, Steve Pollan, Carl Dilley, Adel Theron, Bryan Dopp, Lennie Cumberland, Eli Garan, Dean Lynch and possibly others as well].
